Madison Sweet Potato Project

Slow Food Madison is working with the UW Extension, Community Action Coalition, and Equinox Farms to launch the Madison Sweet Potato Project.

This project is focused on helping regular Madisonians grow sweet potatoes in their back yard for eventual donation to local food pantries.

We’re excited about this new project as it involves education, community involvement, and providing healthy food to those most in need in our community – consistent with our good, clean, and fair motto.

The Madison Sweet Potato Project is based on a similar effort in Kansas City that has provided thousands of pounds of sweet potatoes to their food pantries.
