East Side Neighborhood Community Meal
The dedicated group of Slow Food Madison supporters that cook dinner at the Goodman Center on Wednesday nights are teaming up with the Goodman Community Center to host a special neighborhood meal the evening of Monday, November 18. Volunteers from the Wednesday night food pantry meal project will prepare a seasonal, multi-course feast and give attendees an insiders look at the unique Slow Food Madison initiative that has provided thousands of wholesome meals to community members in the last year and a half. Learn about how the Slow Food team goes the extra mile to prepare food that is good, clean, and fair–even in the dead of winter when fresh, local produce is not forthcoming!
Service will begin at 6:30pm in the Ironworks Cafe. Food will be served family-style, so expect to share a table with friends and neighbors! This event is “pay-what-you-can” and you’ll pay when you check in. (Our ideal range of payment is between $5 and $15 per person).
