Eat for Equity’s November Dinner & Fundraiser
Eat for Equity Madison is honored to present “Mino-Wiisinin. Mino-Bimaadaziwin.” a benefit dinner for and from the Chief Meskokonaye Youth Camp. The meal is a five course wild game menu featuring elk, bison, venison, moose, walleye & birds. Underground Food Collective is honored to support and promote this wonderful event.
“The Chief Meskokonaye Youth Camp is a year-round program for youth of the Red Lake Chippewa Nation. Youth are taught traditional Chippewa values and life skills to encourage each child’s success in a contemporary life. The Chippewa values focus on seven teachings: Wisdom, Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Humility, and Truth. Each month, different “camps” incorporate the Chippewa values to guide practical skills of hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, gather, language, craft and survival.”
