Tour of FeLion Studio and Pot-Luck

Saturday, February 23rd 11:00am until 2:30pm

Join Slow Food Madison on February 23rd for a tour of FeLion Studios and an adventure in cast iron seasoning hosted by local metal sculptor and cast iron expert, Alisa Toninato. Alisa is becoming widely known for her Made in America state-shaped cast iron skillet series, and by now you may be familiar with her much acclaimed Wisco Skillet.

She’ll be taking us through the seasoning process and talking about the art of cast iron.

Have a cast iron skillet at home in need of some TLC? Bring it along and we’ll throw it on the fire to get it back in shape.

This Field Trip will involve a pot-luck. Slow Food will provide the grill-ables (veggie and non-veggie alike), but you’re encouraged to bring a beverage or two of your choosing and perhaps a dish or side to share (though this is not required).

Dress for the weather as we will be outside for a portion of the event, but we will also have access to a communal space inside the studio.
