Urban Market Forage is a Slow Food Madison initiative that began in the Summer of 2012.

The primary goal of this initiative is to foster a sense of community with local shop owners, learn about their history, their culture, food traditions, and how we can use the items found in their stores in our own kitchens.

Shop

There is also a “Cash Mob” aspect to these outings, so though not required, we encourage participants to do a bit of shopping afterwards to thank shop owners for their time (but anyway, how could you resist?)
